Many perfume brands boast about their high fragrance oil concentration. But this doesn’t necessarily guarantee high quality (although it can). Let me explain.

Consumers are becoming more aware of perfumes, which we are very pleased about. They know that good products are not only found in well-known drugstores. Niche perfumes are experiencing a renaissance. Customers have high expectations, both in terms of longevity and scent projection. Therefore, they pay attention to whether a product is an eau de toilette, eau de parfum, or pure perfume, as this indicates the concentration of the essence. Sometimes, manufacturers themselves boast about their specific dosage, saying “others have ONLY this much, while we have EVEN this much”.

Dosage is important

Indeed, the dosage of the scent composition, or in other words, the fragrance concentration, matters. The theory seems straightforward – the more essence we add, the stronger the perfume will be. Therefore, it’s worth knowing the dosage used by a particular brand, but one we should also realize that it’s not everything. Why?

The scent composition itself is crucial

It’s important how much composition we dose, but that’s not all. The composition itself is crucial. If we use even 30% of a questionable quality essence, our product won’t be good. If we use only 10% of a top-notch composition, the product may satisfy even the most demanding customers. If the essence is excellent and we choose a high fragrance concentration, the quality will be undeniable.

Eau de Toilette stronger than Eau de Parfum (or even pure Perfume)?

Yes, it’s possible. Many good brand Eau de Toilettes can be more durable than the pure Perfumes of less quality brands. And this is often the case.

I intentionally wrote “less quality” instead of “less known.” Often, new, lesser-known brands strive to gain market share by offering a great product. However, it’s important always to test the product on yourself rather than relying solely on the marketing communication of a given company.

What type products do we make under private label?

We make products as agreed with our clients. Sometimes a client wants the product to be called Eau de Parfum rather than Eau de Toilette because not every consumer has the knowledge presented in this article. And good marketing communication is created in fact for the consumer.

We always present various options to the brands we work with and often create brilliant products. However, we only present the offer once we understand not only how the client would like to name the product but also what quality the product should represent.
